Integrating STEM with our IB Units

Fifth grade students spent the month of December exploring the concepts of Force and Motion through many hands-on activities, including stomp rockets and designing their own Balloon-Powered vehicles. Following the design process, students designed their cars, tested them (in a socially-distant manner), revised, and then competed in the First-Ever Balloon Car Challenge! 15 students were able to advance to the second round, with Gabe F. winning the entire Challenge! His car was able to travel the length of the gym! Congratulations to all involved, and "Thank you" to Mrs. Yost for creating this challenge!
